Chief Maintenance Engineer – Hotel Property - Gainesville, FL

We’re looking for a hands-on, take-charge Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance operations at a vibrant hospitality property. If you’re the kind of person who notices a flickering light before anyone else does—and fixes it before they blink—you’ll thrive here.

This isn’t just a wrench-turning gig. It’s about creating a safe, smooth, and high-functioning experience for guests and team members alike. You’ll be the go-to for everything from HVAC to hot water heaters, with a team behind you and the autonomy to make decisions that keep the property humming.

What You'll Own :

• Lead and mentor a small but mighty engineering / maintenance crew
• Run the show for preventive maintenance and emergency repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house
• Get your hands dirty with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pool systems, lighting, and carpentry work
• Troubleshoot like a champ : from AC that won’t chill to a sink that won’t drain
• Maintain a killer PM log and stay ahead of issues before they become “issues”
• Coordinate with outside vendors when needed (but you’ll probably fix it better anyway)
• Set and enforce safety standards that make OSHA proud
• Represent the brand with professionalism while interacting with guests and staff
