What You'll Do
Monitor shop performance and processes daily for operation within established parametersDetermine causes for deviation and recommend correctionsProvide reporting daily, weekly and monthly to document Mill performance against established key performance indicatorsInvestigate and recommend process, procedure, training or equipment needs to continually improve performanceWork with department and shift managers to optimize personnel and process execution for consistent performance and continuous process improvementWork with Quality Assurance Department to monitor product quality and identify and correct any deviationsWork with Training Department to develop and assist teaching operator development classesInteract with company personnel resources external to plant about process performance and improvementInitiate communication with resources external to company (suppliers and contractors) for consistency and improvement initiativesWhat You'll Need
Basic knowledge of the rolling process preferredStrong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbalHighly technical, detail oriented, organized and self-starterWillingness and ability to work hands-on in the shop with operators on flexible schedulesDrive continuous improvement; employee productivity, uptime improvements, lead time reductionsResponsible for meeting and / or exceeding customer expectations; on-time performance, customer satisfaction / service, cost controlsHold employees accountable for results and effectively convey to associates what is expected of themMaintain and turn in all daily and monthly reports required by managementEnsure adherence to CMC Principles, Culture, and Code of Conduct, company policies and procedures while acting with integrity at all times.Develop and implement process improvements based on audit findingsConduct trend analysis; compile and analyze symptoms and failuresExperience with QMOS and SAP PreferredCommunicate important shift information, production issues, concerns and needs with proper personnelAddress problem-solving through comprehensive root cause analysis and implementing corrective measuresDefine and measure key performance indicators for successYour Education
