Fintech Accountant

Summary :

Responsible for completing DDA account reconciliations, researching the root cause of outstanding items and determining the best reconciliation approach for new programs.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field.

Experience : Three to five years of related accounting experience in a financial institution. An understanding of electronic and card payment processes preferred. Experience with data analysis / reporting using SQL Queries and Tableau preferred.  Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Functions :

A : Job Specific :

• Acts as the primary reconciler for cardholder DDA accounts.
• Monitors selected program funding and adjustment accounts to review source of funding and ensure they are sufficiently funded.
• Researches and resolves transactions; creating outstanding items in cardholder reconciliations.
• Reconciles partner respondent suspense GL accounts.
• Serves as a back-up to the other members of the reconciliation team.
