ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Provide excellent customer service by promptly scheduling patients with the appropriate physician while maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Accurately obtain all required demographics and insurance information from the patient.
• Utilizes templates, scheduling assistant, protocol, and physician rotation to schedule patient appointments.
• Process incoming referrals, contact patients to verify information and schedule appointment, import referrals and / or records into patents chart, send correspondence to referring provider, and send new patient paperwork to patient all in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains strictest patient confidentiality.

The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position including a general understanding of insurance requirements.

Normal office environment

PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS :

Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Some bending and stretching

required. Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
