Human Resources Manager

The HR Manager is responsible for the overall management and direction of the Human Resources function. This role oversees the HR team and is accountable for the tactical day-to-day operations of all HR functional areas. A strong background in HR compliance is essential.

Primary responsibilities include :

• Champion Aleut values : accountability, transparency, and rigor.
• Collaborate with VP of HR to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
• Oversee the daily workflow of the HR department.
• Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process.
• Foster a positive work environment by managing employee relations, resolving conflicts, and working with managers as needed.
• Oversee the compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and market competitiveness.
• Oversee the employee performance evaluation program.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment law and regulations.
• Ensure compliance through audits, training, and policy development.
• Oversee the management of the HRIS systems and data, oversee recordkeeping, and streamline HR processes for efficiency.
• Provide leadership and development to direct reports, delegating tasks, and responsibilities effectively.
• Maintain affirmative action program : file EEO-1 annually, maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
• Maintain department records and reports; recommend innovative approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
