Account Manager
As an account manager you will be responsible for outside sales, new business development, and account management with assigned accounts / customers to support all business services for the organization in achieving its revenue and profitability goals. This role manages quality and consistency of product and service delivery, with travel up to 80% of the time.
Essential functions and requirements include prioritizing health and safety, increasing sales revenue and profit dollars by identifying potential new accounts and soliciting orders through personal sales calls, fostering sales relationships with target accounts, increasing sales revenue and profit dollars of existing accounts through regular contact with customers, preparing, submitting, and interpreting periodic reports on activities, sales volume, and expenses, attending and participating in sales meetings and training programs, staying abreast of major environmental regulatory changes and industry trends, effectively adapting to core business and customer categorization, managing days sales outstanding, coordinating with customers to profile, identify service timeframes, and ensure quality and customer satisfaction, negotiating pricing and contract requirements, completing annual sales revenue budget and identifying key customer initiatives, managing and controlling sales expenses, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the company's service offerings, maintaining the ability to travel up to 80%, and taking on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
Education : Bachelor's degree (required), with a focus in sales, business, marketing or science (preferred).
Experience : 3+ years of proven industry related sales experience (required) -OR- in lieu of degree, 7+ years of proven industry related sales experience (required).
Competencies : Quality communication skills for interacting with both internal and external customers, proven sales competencies, with the ability to develop a working understanding of all company services, regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role.
