Product Design Prototyper Responsibilities :

Work in Software virtual reality (VR) product development process, from conceptualizing the next generation of the VR platform (PC & Mobile) to designing incremental software features.

Use a full range of product design, software development, interaction design, and web design skills, including expertise in Unity.

Use tools like C / C++, Java, and PHP design, research, prototype, and implement features for incremental changes as well as future interactions of products.

Synthesize broad, ambiguous business and accomplish them through design.

Contribute to strategic decision, working with Design, Product, and Executive teams and design flows and visuals and individually contribute to the product and feature set.

Design interfaces, virtual reality software, and products that will enhance Meta's position in the virtual reality field.

Given and solicit real time feedback from other designers to continually raise the quality and craftsmanship of Meta's products.

Partner with PMs, engineers, researchers, content strategists, and QA, overseeing the implementation of the user experience from product conception to launch and post-launch design support.

Advocate for product design within Oculus and through Meta.

Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted.

Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Interactive Media, or related field

Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following :

C, C++, C#, or Java

Front-end programming, or building and shipping applications / software

Application design, web design, visual design, or interaction design

Producing high resolution designs using Photoshop, Fireworks, or Illustrator

Prototyping interactive designs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Flash, or Quartz Composer

End-to-end hybrid UX or UI product design, from the start of a project to completion

Evaluating design tradeoffs using various sources of quantitative or qualitative data

Unity, Figma, and Spark Studio

Public Compensation :

$211,050 / year to $223,850 / year + bonus + equity + benefits
