Your Role on the Team

Position Summary :

Incumbent serves as first point of contact for patients in the ambulatory clinics. Performs general clerical and reception dutes. Enters patient data to the registration system and verifies insurance and / or third party coverage. Schedules, confirms, and cancels patient appointments. Required Qualifications :

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Must be able to work weekends / holidays
• Demonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax, scanner
• Demonstrated experience using multi-line telephone system
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary
• Ability to make simple calculations and perform simple math
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Ability to effectively read, write and speak English
