o Chilled water, tower water, compressed air, natural gas, and others as projects demand
- Delegate daily tasks to the broader Mechanical Systems team
- Serve as the primary internal quality supervisor for welded, threaded, poly, and brazed pipe connections
- Coordinate with D-Riven Project Engineers and Program Managers in support of project costing, timeline development, and resource planning activities when requested
- Provide direction to Project Engineers in the generation of material lists for piping and mechanical systems
- Advise Project Engineers as they source materials for piping and mechanical systems
- Ensure the work completed on your assigned jobs meets D-Riven’s rigorous standards and address items with the project team when these expectations are not met
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, best-practices, Quality Assurance / Quality Control policies, and specifications
- Support Project Engineers and Program Managers in the completion of customer requests-for-quote, and generation of change orders, when necessary
- Provide experience-based guidance to team members under your supervision
- Hold formal, and informal performance evaluations with project team members and provide feedback to management
- Convey key progress updates to the Project Engineers leading your assigned projects
- Uphold health and safety standards throughout the execution of a given project, ensuring compliance with customer safety rules and regulations, along with D-Riven’s safety standards
- Required Skills :
- To be qualified for the position, applicants must possess :
- Field-proven experience as a Mechanical Systems Lead / Foreman, in an industrial environment
- An advanced knowledge of mechanical drawing interpretation
- Advanced skills in various pipefitting practices including :
o Welding, grooving, threading, brazing, poly welding, etc.
- A working knowledge of rigging practices
- Experience with powered industrial equipment including :
o Scissor lifts, articulated boom lifts, fork trucks, telehandlers, etc.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, and best practices in the industrial piping field
- The ability to interface knowledgably with a with multidisciplinary project team including :
o Electrical, HVAC, insulation, etc.
- Proven jobsite management and supervisory skills
- Critical-thinking and decision-making ability
- The ability to adhere to and enforce internal and external health and safety standards
- Time management and organization skills
- A willingness to work in dirty, or uncomfortable environments, and at height
- The drive to lead from the front, and by example
- Travel 100%
- All travel arrangements, including rental cars, flights, and hotel reservations, scheduled and pre-paid by company. $70.00 per diem / .70 mileage
- Required Education :
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required
- 5 years of in field experience
- Prior training and certification in one or more of the following areas is required :
- Plumbing, welding (CW / CWI)
- Master Plumbers preferred
- Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS) preferred
All travel arrangements, including hotel reservations, scheduled and pre-paid by company travel coordinator.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, or similar preferred
