Depending on qualifications and project needs, this role may be filled as either a Project Engineer or a Cost Engineer.

Responsibilities may include :
Change Management
Assist / Input all potential cost itemsReview, qualify and prepare change ordersProcess all project costs and invoicesResponsible for updating and preparing committed cost reports (job / client specific)Request and obtain pricing for all changes (submittal / RFI / Bulletins, etc.).Document Control
Process submittals and shop drawingsLog in and track Requests for InformationReceive and route jobsite correspondenceMaintain and distribute project documentationObtain and process start-up and closeout documentsManage and update drawings and specificationsDocument minutes during jobsite meetingsArchive project information at completionProcurement
Assist project manager and estimator in establishing committed cost report.Develop / set up submittal registerDevelop required on job log (materials)Field Operations
Enforce corporate safety policies on jobsite, working closely with the project manager, safety representative, and superintendent to support the project safety plan to provide another set of eyes for safety complianceTrack timely receipt of required submittals / shop drawings and samples.Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in the construction industryBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or ArchitectureAbility to lead meetingsResourcefulness and ability to track down information quickly and accuratelyMaintains high level of professionalism at all levelsCost management skillsExcellent written / oral communication and presentation skillsCommitment to detail and strong sense of urgencyOutstanding customer service skillsMust be well organized and possess problem solving skillsPositive attitude and a good sense of humorNegotiation experience and skillsAbility to work in a high energy, fast paced team environmentMust be able to work with minimal supervisionDisclosure
