Job Description

Oversee all preconstruction phases, including cost planning, estimating, and value engineering to ensure project viability and competitiveness. Collaborate with clients, design teams, engineers, and internal departments to develop precise and compelling project proposals. Analyze drawings, specifications, and related documents to identify potential risks, opportunities, and areas for optimization. Direct bidding activities and maintain strong subcontractor relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable partnerships. Support the handoff process to operations teams, ensuring clarity and continuity from preconstruction through execution.

The Successful Applicant

A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in the construction industry. A minimum of 5 years' experience in preconstruction, estimating, or a blended Assistant Project Manager / Estimator role. Familiarity with healthcare, light industrial, or warehouse construction is advantageous but not required. Proven experience leading ground-up preconstruction projects. In-depth knowledge of commercial construction methods and the ability to confidently interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
