Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk

Overview : MV Transportation is excited to welcome an Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk to our team! As a vital contributor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. Your expertise will help maintain precise client invoicing, collections, payroll accuracy, and other financial obligations.

Job Responsibilities :

• Process payroll bi-weekly for all employees, ensuring accurate deductions, garnishments, and taxes.
• Submit necessary documentation for new hires and salary adjustments promptly.
• Handle payroll exceptions and bonuses with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports for the Operations / General Manager to monitor payroll expenditures against budgets.
• Maintain precise fare accounting records and payroll deductions.
• Prepare accounts payable invoices for timely corporate review and vendor payment.
• Generate client invoices promptly for correct general ledger posting.
• Assist the corporate office with client account collections and prepare necessary credit / debit memos.
• Manage employee benefit applications and maintain accurate payroll deductions.
• Update and manage employee and vendor files efficiently.
• Establish and maintain credit relationships with local vendors.
• Supervise petty cash and handle reimbursement requests as needed.
• Verify the accuracy of financial statements and prepare journal entries or projections as required.
• Support annual budget preparation and related requests.
• Assist employees with wage data requests for local agencies.
• Process onboarding and termination paperwork.
• Provide purchasing support to management staff, ensuring ample supplies are available.

Qualifications :

Starting pay rate : $28 / hour
