Job Description

The Creative Content Specialist is responsible for producing innovative and visually compelling designs, videos, and animations across digital, print, web, and social platforms that uphold the Syracuse Athletics brand. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role requires advanced skills in interactive media, graphic design, video editing, and 3D animation. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who can develop custom content that effectively communicates ideas and engages fans across multiple channels. They are highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position demands a self-starter who thrives both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment. Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, degree in graphic arts, visual communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Two plus years of professional graphic design experience, with sports marketing experience considered a plus.
  • Two plus years of experience in motion graphics design and video production.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite on Mac platforms, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Cinema 4D.
  • Strong understanding of Facebook ad specifications, including correct sizing for video and graphic assets by ad type and placement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to maintain productivity and effectiveness under changing priorities and pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Proven team player with the ability to collaborate effectively and support colleagues as needed.
  • Responsibilities

  • Create custom motion graphics and animated videos for game day promotions, social media campaigns, and live event broadcasts.
  • Design digital and print marketing collateral, including posters, banners, email templates, and web graphics to support ticket sales and fundraising efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and content teams to translate marketing strategies into compelling visual storytelling assets.
  • Manage and maintain a digital asset library, ensuring all creative content is organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible for cross-departmental use.
