Senior Software Test Engineer

About This Role
As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of manufacturing equipment software and automation systems. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams while driving innovative testing approaches and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & Verification
Design, perform, and continuously improve software verification tests for manufacturing equipment and automation systemsLead the architecture, development, and execution of both automated test suites and manual test casesPerform comprehensive functional and integration testing on manufacturing equipment in lab environmentsWrite detailed verification plans, test protocols, test reports, and requirements traceability matricesCollaboration & Process Improvement
Work cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to develop effective test approachesCollaborate with external providers of automation and manufacturing equipment to ensure software meets organizational requirementsParticipate in software requirement and design reviewsIdentify and drive process improvement opportunities with team membersTechnical Leadership & Documentation
Assist in defining, capturing, and documenting user needs and system requirementsUtilize defect tracking and version control tools as integral parts of the software development lifecycleMaintain automation scripts and daily regression jobsParticipate in peer reviews of test cases and automation scriptsProvide occasional technical assistance for escalated production issuesRequired Qualifications
Experience & Technical Skills
5+ years of software or system verification experience5+ years of writing detailed test cases from user stories and requirements with accuracy5+ years of manual testing experience and results tracking5+ years of UI and API automation experience5+ years of experience with defect tracking systems such as Jira2+ years of source control management experience (GIT) and CI / CD practicesTechnical Proficiencies
Experience with Selenium / Ranorex, Rest Assured, and Cucumber FrameworkObject-oriented programming skills in Java, C#, or similar languagesStrong knowledge of SQL and relational databasesExperience with Visual Studio, IntelliJ / Eclipse, DB Visualizer, Ranorex, Jenkins / GHA DevOpsProven capability with defect tracking, test case management, and requirement traceability toolsProfessional Skills
