About You and The Role
As a member of our flight operations training team, you will be qualified as both an instructor and evaluator (check pilot), supporting the training and development of our flight operations personnel. You will help develop our newest teammates into dedicated, detail-oriented operators, striving to be the best in the business. The flight operations training team at Zipline is looking for individuals with sound judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, and exceptionally high standards. Success will require a process-minded approach on every flight and training session, safety-oriented attitude, and flexibility. The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for helping others grow, and is willing to become an expert while remaining approachable and patient with each student’s learning style. What You'll Do Upon successful completion of our FAA-approved training program (3-4 weeks), you’ll receive a Zipline controller (RPIC) certification and join the flight crew to conduct live part 135 delivery operations for the first 3-6 months As a controller, you are the responsible person in charge for conducting commercial operations for all assigned aircraft arriving, departing, and aloft (includes preflight planning, pre-shift briefing, ongoing weather checks, airspace monitoring, etc.) Within 6-8 months, you will obtain flight ops instructor and evaluator (check pilot) qualifications where in addition to functioning as a controller you will regularly conduct initial and ongoing ground and flight training to include performing initial qualification and currency checks. This will follow a structured program and schedule.
