What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients and residents by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual conditions.

Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification as required, and reporting unauthorized individuals.

Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.

Collaborate with shelter staff and other personnel to address concerns and support a welcoming environment for all occupants.

Remain alert to the unique needs and challenges of the shelter location, adapting responses as necessary to provide appropriate support.

Participate in emergency response activities as directed, including evacuations or shelter-in-place procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
