Position Summary :
The Equipment Manager is responsible for, but not limited to managing an efficient service operation ensuring all Company equipment and vehicles are serviced accurately according to manufacturer guidelines, safely, quickly and within budget constraint.

MasTec’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develops and enforces best practices within the Equipment Service business unit to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identifiesresources, assigns workloads, and manages schedules to ensuretimelydelivery of service work performed.
- Monitors field and shop service repair jobs and hours including closing all work ordersin a timely manner.
- Ensures work is performed accurately to manufacturer recommended standards and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Secures,analyzesand approves vendor quotes and estimates for services, tools, parts, and supplies.
- Manages department costs, including, but not limited to, tires, undercarriages, major components, and shop supplies.
- Processes invoices promptly andoverseesbusiness unit budget processes.
- Controls and evaluates department profit and loss, including capital expenditures.
- Applies knowledge to warranty items, warranty requests, andcoordinatewarranty repairs.
- Ensures the operational availability of fleet equipment.
- Keep current onnew technologiesas they relate to management of equipment and apply accordingly.
- Maintains a safe working environment in compliance with Federal, State and Localregulation, including DOT,OSHAand MSHA.
- Monitors andcontrolinventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies.
- Develop andmaintainvendorlist and continuouslymonitoroverall quality of service provided.
- Other duties as assigned.

Proficient with computer systems as they relate to utilization of scheduling of manpower / resources, implementation of preventative maintenance programs, inventory management systems, along with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Experience with ERP system – Visa Viewpoint Preferred.Thorough knowledge of cost tracking and equipment life cycles.Strong commitment to safety.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain rapport.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong leadership and team building skills.EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's Degree in Equipment Service Management or Business Management preferred.Minimum ten years of experience in servicing heavy equipment in the construction industry or dealership environment.WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Works in an office environment at the Corporate office, in the field or at vendor site locations.May be exposed to extreme temperatures in the field – hot and cold.May be exposed to chemicals, refuse and dirt from jobsites or equipment.Moderate noise levels.May be exposed to other risks associated with working around heavy machines, tools, and trucksLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS :
Must have and maintain a valid state issued Driver’s License with driving record that meets Saiia’s risk management guidelines.TRAVEL :
This position reports to the Corporate office and is required to travel to various jobsite locations and equipment vendors 15% of the time.What's in it for you :
