About The Position

Pride Health is hiring for a  Surgical Technologist to support our client's medical facility based in  Houston & Spring, TX . This is a  local 3-month contract  opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details :

• Works in collaboration with the Registered Nurses to provide care of the surgical patient in the OR suite.
• Contributes to the orientation of new surgical technicians. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as they relate to specific age groups.
• This position is as-needed to provide staffing for the ASC OR.
• Maintains strict aseptic technique and sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
• Prepares, organizes, and verifies surgical instruments and equipment for each case.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, handling supplies, and performing scrub duties.
• Prepares and transports patients, monitors vitals, and supports intraoperative care.
• Decontaminates, sterilizes, and ensures proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assists with room setup, turnover, and maintaining a safe, organized surgical environment.
• Functions as second assistant when needed and supports emergency procedures.
