Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a key role in identifying, sourcing, and evaluating talent, while effectively assisting applicants through the stages of the Arcwood talent acquisition lifecycle. This role will assist with administrative tasks and functional projects to support the Talent Acquisition team, the Human Resources department, and business objectives as Arcwood seeks to grow.

Essential Functions & Requirements :

Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times

Performs duties related to the full talent acquisition lifecycle for non-exempt and exempt positions while building and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and business partners

Coordinates with hiring managers to understand position and team needs and successfully translates those into talent acquisition strategies; sets expectations with all parties and maintains communication throughout the process

Trains hiring managers on Applicant Tracking System (ATS) functionality and assists with developing job description content that is thorough, consistent, and attractive to candidates

Administers the hiring process; provides ongoing updates for requisitions, advises hiring managers throughout, and closes requisitions in a timely manner while ensuring proper documentation

Creates, edits, and maintains online job postings to the company career site as well as external job boards such as LinkedIn, Indeed, or ZipRecruiter that are in compliance with position needs and regulatory requirements

Maintains responsibility for data management and integrity within the ATS and other HR systems and maintains compliance with federal employment laws and internal policies and procedures

Utilizes understanding of business and market conditions to maintain talent pipelines at appropriate levels to accommodate current and anticipated demand based on growth and business initiatives; maintains contact with candidates whose experience aligns with potential future needs

Utilizes social media / networking efforts to advertise talent needs that highlight the opportunity to build and grow as well as company culture and values

Identifies, initiates contact with, and screens potential candidates to introduce them to current and future opportunities; reviews resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skill, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements

Evaluates candidates to determine their competencies and qualifications and provides feedback to hiring managers

Creates a positive experience for candidates and hiring managers throughout the talent acquisition lifecycle by effectively communicating with all parties in a timely fashion and with a customer service orientation

Coordinates and schedules all logistics required for phone, virtual, or onsite interviews between candidates, hiring managers, and hiring teams

Maintains the ability to attend local, national, and on-campus career fairs and professional events to promote employer branding and business operations initiative

Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education :

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field (required)

Experience :

1+ years of experience in talent acquisition, staffing, or a related function (required) -OR- 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, staffing, or a related function (required)

Previous experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems and talent acquisition tools / job boards (required)

Knowledge of and experience working with affirmative action documentation and applicable data reporting (preferred)

Competencies :

Ability to engage and build rapport with candidates and hiring managers / teams

Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
