Pay : $85k+, based on experience About the Role :
We’re seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Applications Engineer to support CNC machining applications and part processing. This role blends technical programming, machine setup, customer support, and continuous learning. Ideal for someone with a strong machining background and a passion for manufacturing innovation. Key Responsibilities :
- Support CNC machining applications under the guidance of senior engineers
- Participate in internal and external training opportunities
- Select and configure fixtures, work holding, and tooling for demos and turnkey projects
- Estimate machining cycle times for customer parts
- Calculate optimal speeds and feeds for part processing
- Develop CNC programs using conversational programming, CAM systems, and G-code / Macro programming
- Setup machines with appropriate tooling, programs, and workpieces
- Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
- Document technical information and generate engineering reports
- Communicate frequently with customers, suppliers, and internal technical teams
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred — or equivalent experience in machining2+ years of experience in CNC applications, part processing, or machine setupStrong knowledge of CNC programming, metal cutting, and reading technical drawingsBasic understanding of metallurgy and machining materialsExcellent communication skills with internal teams and external clientsAbility to manage shifting priorities and work independentlyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailMust be able to work full-time and occasional overtime with noticeStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsWork Environment :
This role involves both office and manufacturing / machining environments, with potential exposure to noise, chemicals, electricity, heavy equipment, and other mechanical hazards. Physical Demands :
