Mission Software Engineer - Hawaii

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer who will participate on all product stages from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning.

About the Role :

As a Mission Software Engineer at HavocAI , you will be at the forefront of innovation, solving real-world technical challenges across networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and beyond. You will lead the end-to-end delivery of solutions, ensuring that HavocAI’s products operate seamlessly to achieve critical outcomes for our customers.

This role demands a pragmatic approach — balancing expediency, scalability, and engineering excellence — while maintaining a relentless "mission-first" mindset .

Note : This position will sit in Honolulu, Hawaii for at least the first 6 months to support critical deployment and integration efforts.

Key Responsibilities :

• Own and Deliver Solutions : Take ownership of software solutions deployed to customers, ensuring high-quality delivery that meets mission objectives.
• Improve Mission Capabilities : Develop software that enhances HavocAI products for specific operational needs, collaborating with the platform engineering team to scale capabilities to broader use cases.
• Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
• Analyze and Monitor : Create and leverage performance metrics for debugging and monitoring deployed systems.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve : Identify root causes of system issues, propose solutions, and coordinate next steps.
• Partner with End-Users : Collaborate with customers and end-users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience with technical constraints.
• Real-World Deployment : Travel up to 30% of the time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in operational environments.
