Computer Aided Design Designer

We're seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Plumbing Designer to join a growing construction team in San Antonio. This role is responsible for the design and drafting of plumbing systems including sanitary, storm drainage, domestic water, and gas systems for commercial and multifamily projects. You'll play a key role in producing high-quality, coordinated construction documents while collaborating closely with other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and draft complete plumbing systems for assigned projects (sanitary, storm, domestic water, and gas).
• Produce accurate and code-compliant construction documentation for permitting and construction.
• Develop plumbing layouts, riser diagrams, and fixture schedules consistent with project scope and specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations, sizing, and equipment selection to ensure system performance and efficiency.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve design conflicts across mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Conduct design research and evaluate system options based on performance, cost, and constructability.
• Support the project team through design, documentation, and post-design consultation phases.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts by developing replicable design and calculation methods.
• Maintain clear communication and positive client relationships while representing the company professionally.
