Job Description :

L3Harris is looking for a lead flight test engineer to support our portfolio of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). You will be responsible for planning / coordinating participating in and leading test events for various unmanned aircraft systems. You will need to work closely with the program team and the customer to ensure This position requires a self-starter with leadership qualities and will operate under general oversight.

Requires in-depth knowledge of UAS. Continental United States (CONUS) and / or Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) travel required.

Essential Functions :

• Work in manufacturing lab and flight test (field) environments
• Coordination with program leadership and engineering disciplines to establish customer driven flight test objectives.
• Generating comprehensive test briefings plans quick looks and reports for stakeholders
• Communicating with various customers and flight test ranges to coordinate test events
• Leading teams of engineers made up of various disciplines in a field environment to achieve test objectives.
• Travel within CONUS and / or OCONUS up to 25% of the time.
• Functionally manage a team of flight test engineers managing team hiring assignments performance reviews
• Proposal work including generating and reviewing Basis of Estimate (BOE) bids.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted or 80 lbs. as part of a two-person team.

In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the salary range for this role is $87000 - $161000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
