Construction Inspector

GIR Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Construction Inspector to support our field inspection services across energy and industrial projects. The Construction Inspector will ensure that all construction activities meet client specifications industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining project quality safety and integrity through hands-on inspection documentation and collaboration with construction and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct inspections on construction projects to verify compliance with drawings specifications and codes.

Monitor contractor performance materials and workmanship to ensure quality standards are met.

Document findings through detailed reports photographs and data management systems.

Communicate non-conformances or deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Support project managers and clients with progress updates and technical input.

Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and company policies on site.

Participate in pre-construction and progress meetings as required.

Maintain accurate records for project documentation and close-out packages.

Requirements

Diploma or degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field.

3 years of experience in construction inspection within the energy oil & gas or industrial sectors.

Working knowledge of construction codes standards and specifications.

Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Mechanical Integrity principles is an asset.

Strong attention to detail with excellent reporting and documentation skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Valid drivers license and ability to travel to field sites as required.
