Job Description

Overview : In this role, you'll apply your scheduling expertise as the Senior Project Scheduler to support project teams and clients in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for electric capital infrastructure initiatives. You'll collaborate with project management, engineering, construction, and other stakeholders to monitor performance and ensure alignment with project goals using tools like Primavera P6.Key Responsibilities :

• Implement project controls tools and scheduling methodologies
• Develop and maintain project schedules in accordance with client procedures and industry best practices
• Perform critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions as needed
• Support schedule contingency planning and risk management
• Provide regular updates and report deviations from baseline schedules
• Proactively manage schedule variances and investigate project delays
• Assist with month-end closing and phase gate processes
• Maintain standardized documentation and file structures for schedule data
• Generate look-ahead reports, actuals, and schedule quality metrics
• Compile supporting documentation for project and client needs
• Analyze data and produce reports to aid decision-making
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor schedule performance
• Work with cost analysts to develop time-phased cost forecasts
• Potential travel to client offices for coordination meetings

The Successful Applicant

Required Qualifications :

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software
• Practical experience with project controls
• 5+ years of relevant project experience
• Post-secondary education
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and collaborate across teams and with clients
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality deliverables
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and / or Access

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience in project controls, planning, scheduling, or earned value performance, ideally in the power industry
• Professional certifications or training such as :

AACE CST or PMI equivalent

• Progress toward AACE CCP, CEP, PSP, PRMP, EVP, or PMI equivalent
• Equivalent training or proficiency testing in lieu of certification
