Responsibilities :

In this role, you will be expected to :

Provide support for cloud-based infrastructure related to virtual machines, virtual appliances, software, programs, applications, and all relevant virtualized components.

Ensure the high availability, security, and integrity of hosts and virtual management applications and resources.

Monitor hypervisor, infrastructure, and virtualization applications, setting alerts to maintain stability, monitor error logs, and automate administrative tasks wherever feasible.

Install patches and releases for host and virtualization infrastructure applications across development, testing, pre-production, and production systems.

Serve as a key resource for troubleshooting system issues on hosts, hypervisors, and virtual infrastructure.

Create and maintain precise system documentation for assigned systems.

Keep current descriptions and documentation for virtualized application and system configurations, including tracking and documenting changes to environments.

Assist in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and tuning on assigned virtualized systems.

Participate in virtualization disaster recovery planning, helping with fault tolerance and disaster recovery strategies, while also analyzing performance trends to optimize the performance of virtualized systems and applications.

We desire candidates with experience and skills that include :

At least five (5) years of hands-on experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) commercial cloud hosting solutions.

Strong proficiency in implementing and maintaining complex multicloud solutions.

Experience in supporting and administering commercial cloud provider hosting solutions beyond Google, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, as well as holding relevant industry certifications.

Exceptional skills in designing, implementing, and sustaining various cloud deployment solutions and offerings (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

A deep understanding of network architecture, security, and routing, encompassing virtual private clouds (VPC), load balancers, and firewalls.

Experience in creating custom scripts to automate administrative tasks and enhance system efficiency.
