Field Service Technician

This position involves assembling and installing transformer units, troubleshooting, and repairing transformers, as well as conducting onsite testing. Candidates with a power generation experience, particularly those who have worked with industrial-sized transformers, substations, pad mount transformer units, and residential transformer units, are highly preferred. Technicians will work in teams of 4-5 crew members, traveling from project to project to perform new installations, assembly, and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Receive assignments and instructions from lead and manager, both verbal and written.
• Read, understand, and follow guidelines set forth by company procedures and blueprints when performing assigned work.
• Select proper materials and parts for assembly operations.
• Setup and layout materials and tools for all assembly operations.
• Maintain the required clearances and dimensions for the voltage classifications specified.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and troubleshooting experience in electrical testing and theory.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and troubleshooting experience in controls.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67000.00 - $130000.00 / yr.

They do get a service vehicle, Prolec will provide them with tools / PPE, pay for fuel for vehicle, company credit card, they stay at Hiltons and IHG, per diem $52 / hr per day for food No probationary period, all Prolec GE benefits are offered right away
