Responsibilities
Asset Protection
- Communicate with leadership regarding encounters and investigations
- Maintain a professional relationship with local authorities and law enforcement agencies
- Assist the undercover asset protection team
- Professionally greet customers
- Provide 5 star customer service
- Assist leadership with cash handling and transfers
- Observe customers and associates for potential acts of theft or fraud
- Taking appropriate action to prevent theft
- Assisting in monitoring store compliance with company policies and procedures relating to theft deterrence, safety, and operational controls, as assigned by the supervisor and / or ASL Team / Store Leader
- Maintain a high visible deterrent to crime and positively influence the security incident rate as well as assist with inventory controls
Safety
Help mitigate security risks to provide a safer environment for employees and customersAssist in customer / employee incidents and emergenciesAssist in emergency store proceduresWelcome all customers, visitors, and vendors professionally and assist them in locating staff within the storesIssue electric handicapped shopping carts to customers and assist in obtaining wheelchairs and shopping cartsCommunicate and properly tag property being brought into the stores including personal property, equipment for service, and firearmsWatch facilities and parking areas on foot. Direct traffic during special events or heavy customer traffic, while enforcing parking regulationsMake regularly scheduled floor and exterior walks to ensure the safety and security of the customers and facilityComplete monthly reports on safe or non-safe practices found on the sales floor or backstocksFirst Responder
Retrieve shopping carts from parking areasReact as necessary and assist in handling any situations medical emergencies and inclement weather, etcRequirements

High School Diploma / GED College graduate preferredProven track record of strong communication and organization skillsPreference for candidates with prior Loss Prevention (2-3 years)Currently certified or willing to become certified in CPR and OC (Oleoresin Capsicum aka pepper spray) foam deploymentSchedule
Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 5 p.m.- 9 : 00 p.m., Friday, 9 : 30 a.m.- 9 : 00 p.m., Saturday, and 10 : 30 a.m.- 6 : 00 p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of two weekends a month.
Physical Requirements / Lifting Requirements :
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push / pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
