Job Summary :
Reporting to the CFO, the Human Resources Director serves as both a strategic and tactical business partner in several key HR disciplines including Employee Relations, Compensation / Benefits, Employee Engagement, Compliance, HR Administration (Leaves, Workers Compensation, Performance Management, Departures / Exits). This hands‑on role works with people at all levels and serves as a trusted advisor to executive management, originating and leading HR best practices and objectives across the organization. The Director manages a payroll specialist, oversees all HR strategic projects and initiatives, and ensures metrics to measure HR contribution to organizational goals.
Responsibilities :
- Build a best‑in‑class HR function to support the business and ensure an exceptional employee experience.
- Manage HR activities and develop strategies that support the vision, strategies, and values of the organization.
- Provide overall leadership to the HR function by overseeing key disciplines.
- Develop and revise HR policies and procedures that are consistent with an outstanding employee experience, aligned with corporate objectives, and maintain legal integrity.
- Liaise with leadership on key HR and employee relations issues with operational impacts and partner to identify and implement solutions.
- Partner with the benefits broker on ensuring optimal benefit plan design, offerings, communications, and participation.
- Manage all HR administrative and reporting functions, including Payroll / Benefits (with Finance partnership), Leaves of Absence and Workers Compensation.
- Develop and implement a valuable performance review process and cycle in accordance with current trends and industry best practices.
- Implement and manage compliance efforts with federal, state and local laws and regulations related to all aspects of the employee life cycle.
- Manage HR‑related required training at all levels and partner with leadership on other training needs for the business.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation that could impact organizational objectives.
- Manage all HR technology platforms and systems including upgrades.
- Develop and oversee corporate HR SOPs, metrics, and KPIs.
- Develop and implement the HR departmental budget.
- Maintain tracking of all licensure requirements and training / evaluation processes for individual programs.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree.8+ years of HR experience.Experience in the construction industry is helpful, particularly with licensure and evaluation programs.Strong presentation and communication skills.Energetic self‑starter with a bias toward action.Objective, decisive, and results oriented with well‑developed team‑building skills.Employee relations experience and sufficient expertise in management principles to serve confidently and confidentially in an advisory role.Ability to travel to Falmouth and job sites across the state.Background check including fingerprinting required.SHRM certification preferred.Seniority level : Not applicable
