Position Summary

Must be able to work in all areas of the warehouse, this includes Freezer, Cooler and Dry areas. Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieves orders from order distribution area and proceeds to input data into wearable unit.
  • Travel to pallet pick up area on rider pallet jack and pick up empty pallet to start selection process.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on pallets with heavy items on the bottom and light items on the top to ensure product is in good condition when it arrives at the customer. Make sure all products that have an arrow are placed on the pallet with the arrows facing up.
  • Record accurate weights for all catchweighted items during selection process.
  • Make sure all chicken products and placed on the bottom, when applicable, as to avoid cross contamination.
  • All cases must have a selection label and all pallets must have a Route label and staged in the appropriate staging area according to Route designation for loading purposes.
  • Uses RF computer and / or wearable unit to enter records.
  • Once completed with order, picker will drive to office to retrieve next order. If no orders are available, picker will get with management regarding next assignment.
  • Once completed with all orders for the shift, picker will clean assigned area prior to leaving.

    • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
