Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for Clinical Lab Scientists to work at our clients Public Health Lab in Downey, CA. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist I (CLSI) performs a variety of standardized clinical laboratory tests within a specialized area (such as biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, or immunohematology) or across specialty lines using manual or instrumented methodology. CLS I is accountable for the validity and reliability of all test results obtained. The CLS I will instruct licensed trainees, newly hired laboratory scientists, laboratory assistants, phlebotomists, and other medical personnel in training in all aspects of their work.

Pay Rate : 64.78 / hr

Minimum Qualifications :

• California-issued Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist License OR Clinical Microbiologist Scientist license
• One year of experience in performing molecular testing including PCR and nucleic acid extraction
• One year of experience as a clinical laboratory scientist in an approved laboratory
• Clinical Laboratory Scientists license issued by the State of California Department of Health Services.
• Experience in performing whole-genome sequencing testing
