Position Summary

This role will be scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm.

The Lead Diagnostic Imaging Assistant promotes a positive patient and family experience as the first impression of the Diagnostic Imaging department by creating a welcoming atmosphere to all patients, families and providers. The Lead Diagnostic Imaging Assistant is responsible for the efficient and orderly registration and check-in of patients and acts as a liaison between patients, families and hospital staff. Obtains accurate and complete patient demographic information and required consents before notifying appropriate modalities of the patient's arrival. Supports Children's departments and clinics in uploading images for future referred patients, as well as sending images and reports to outside facilities for continuation of care. The Lead will work across all campuses and provide back-up support as needed. The Lead will create and maintain all Diagnostic Imaging Assistant schedules. The Lead will onboard and train new staff and give real-time trouble-shooting.
