Professional, advanced Librarian work responsible for collection management and activities supporting the Main Library's special collections, including the Floridiana Collection, Professional Collection, and Audubon Collection. Serves as the Library's primary researcher, providing expert support on both community-based and online research resources, while also delivering training to Library staff on research methodologies and the effective use of library resources. Position requires strong collaboration with external organizations, including Audubon Everglades, the Genealogical Society of Palm Beach County, and the Palm Beach County Program for Public Information (PPI) Committee. Represents the Library on internal committees and fosters community partnerships. Assists members with both print and electronic resources, responding to research inquiries via in-person, virtual, and telephone interactions. Complies and analyzes data for reporting on the Library's Strategic Plan, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative metrics to support informed decision-making and future planning.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) accredited by the American Library Association (ALA); minimum of one (1) year of professional library experience.

PREFERENCE FOR : Experience with collection management and activity planning / execution; knowledge and understanding of research resources and techniques; experience with public speaking / presenting; bi / trilingual (English / Spanish / Creole).
