Underwriting Specialist

Examine insurance applications, collect information for risk analysis, evaluate risks and appropriate rations and terms of the offer, and calculate insurance premiums and pricing for renewals. Calculate insurance premiums and pricing for insurance contracts within requested timeframes at the time of policy renewal while carrying out the company policies related to all aspects of the underwriting and insurance development activities in the U.S. insurance market. Conduct sophisticated risk analysis to evaluate appropriate rations and terms of the offer / application prior to the expiration date of the policy period. Serve as a liaison between the Sales and Service Departments and Underwriting Department to issue appropriate rates and accurately describe terms of the offer and standardize underwriting policies and methodologies in international frameworks to develop consistent underwriting philosophies. Communicate with other Underwriting Specialist to examine and handle exception requests regarding insurance applications and adjustments and develop price plan modifications as needed. Analyze and respond to pricing appeals and review sold cases to maintain consistency of the company's insurance policies and quality standards. Up to 3 days a week remote work optional. Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
