Our client is a leading construction and engineering firm dedicated to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. This is a trenchless rehabilitation of an underground culvert.

Job Description :

We are currently seeking a Certified Gas Tester to join our team. As a Gas Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our construction sites by monitoring and evaluating gas levels to mitigate risks associated with potential hazards.

Responsibilities :

Conduct daily gas tests on-site to ensure safe working conditions for our construction teams.
Perform atmospheric testing in confined spaces and other designated areas.
Calibrate and maintain gas testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Document all gas testing results and maintain accurate records.
Communicate findings to project managers, supervisors, and other relevant personnel.
Collaborate with safety and environmental teams to develop and implement safety protocols.
Provide support in emergency response situations as necessary.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to gas testing.

Qualifications :

Certification : Must hold a valid Certified Gas Tester certification.

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in gas testing, preferably in an underground construction setting.

Knowledge : Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations.

Equipment Proficiency : Experience with gas testing equipment and tools.

Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Team Player : Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with colleagues.

Safety Conscious : A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to hazard identification and mitigation.
