Summary- This is a contingent opportunity and would begin work upon contract award.
The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall performance and execution of recovery care case management and support services to the Department of the Air Force. Through an integrated process of quality care and service delivery, Wounded Warriors, their Caregivers and their families will receive medical and non-medical resources during their continuum of care from recovery and rehabilitation to reintegration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees compliance with contract requirements, deliverables and timelines.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders to ensure effective communication and contract performance.
- Provides direct oversight and guidance to contract personnel and manage daily operations effectively.
- Implements quality assurance measures and performance standards.
- Continually communicate and collaborate with Air Force Wounded Warrior’s Chief, Warrior Care and both the Care Management and Support Branch Chiefs
Supervisory Responsibilities
Leads and supervises geographically dispersed staff, including Non-medical Care Managers, Training Analysts, and Recovery Care Coordinators.Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Required Qualifications
BA / BS from an accredited university.Minimum of four (4) years of experience in program management as a military service member, government civilian OR as a civilian contractor in support of a DoD program or project.Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing day to day operations of government contracts or acquisition programs.Experience managing programs or projects at the general or joint staff level, including demonstrated coordination with senior leadership (General Officers / Senior Executive Services).Knowledge of military structure, systems, protocol and military personnel programs (, separations, retirements, assignments, benefits and entitlements, etc.)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.Demonstrated ability to conduct research, analyze pertinent data, and develop sound recommendations / action plans to solve problemsAbility to provide advice and guidance to program management as they relate to transition assistance, employment assistance, personal and financial counseling and emergency financial assistance.Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in dealing with Airmen, their families, program leadership, and others through both written and verbal communicationsAbility to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance, including an interim clearance within 30 days of award.Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting the Department of the Air Force in a similar capacity.A current and active secret security clearance.Experience supporting transition assistance, employment readiness, financial / emergency assistance.Other Requirements
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment and government background investigation to include FBI fingerprints.This position requires access to Government facilities and systems. U. Citizenship, a valid driver's license, transportation, and auto insurance are required.Competencies
