1. Support the development of Valencia’s fiscal year budget.

2. Gather, analyze, and reconcile large amounts of data to assist with the budget development.

Required Minimum Education :

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Required Field of Study :

Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.

Other Required Qualifications :

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis role (profit / non-profit); or a combination of education and experience totaling (5) years.

Preferred Education & Field of Study :

Master’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field from an regionally accredited institution.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Considerable knowledge and understanding of budget processes, researching, analyzing and collections of data.

Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and reporting software.

Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct variance analysis and find root cause of complex problems.

Effective communication skills and ability to create presentations, explain variances, and provide recommendations based on data analysis.

Strong mathematical skills and ability to use reporting software including spreadsheets, database functions, and financial analysis programs.

Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast pace, deadline oriented business environment with accuracy.

General Working Conditions :

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending / descending, lifting / moving objects weighing between 5-15 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus.
