Certified Athletic Trainer / Worksite Wellness Coach

We are looking for a Full-time candidate in the Boston , MA area. Hours are 6 : 30 am-3 : 00 pm. No nights or weekends.

About this position

We are seeking a passionate wellness professional / acute care provider / to provide ONSITE triage / injury management and one-on-one health behavior change interventions for our construction client partner. You will promote a healthy culture and strive to engage employees in the company's well-being offerings. This candidate will serve as a wellness ambassador and role model.

Responsibilities and Duties

NOTE : You MUST be a Certified Athletlic Trainer through the NATA (not a personal trainer).

• Provide one-to-one health coaching for employees
• Provide triage and acute services to various trades at a construction site
• Lead stretch and flex warm-up sessions for various workers onsite
• Work closely with safety committees, union representatives and foremen to provide wellness education to the population
• Create and deploy health promotion, education, activities and challenges
• Track health behavior change using proprietary health coaching software
• Conduct in-person health risk assessments and biometric screens (training provided)

Requirements :

Exceptional interpersonal, organization and communication skills required

Ability to work autonomously, and manage multiple priorities

Preferred :

Experience providing workplace wellness programs and / or wellness education / formal training

Experience with construction / manufacturing setting

Trained to provide cholesterol and blood pressure screenings

Experience with motivational interviewing techniques

Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task

Adept at counseling individuals from diverse backgrounds

Qualifications and Skills

Education Requirements :

Required : BS Degree in Community Health Education or related field

Required : Certified Athletic Trainer, NATA

This is an ONSITE role.
