We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Backend Engineer to join our Infrastructure & DevOps team. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the backbone of our scalable cloud environments, CI / CD systems, and developer tooling. Your work will directly support engineering productivity and system reliability across the company.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust CI / CD pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment across a distributed development organization.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to provision and manage cloud environments.
• Build and maintain internal tools and services written in Java, Groovy, Python, and Shell.
• Support engineering workflows and release automation.
• Manage and enhance build systems leveraging Gradle and Maven to support large-scale Java-based applications.
• Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker, ensuring consistency across development, staging, and production environments.
• Deploy and manage services in Kubernetes (K8s) clusters, supporting scalability and high availability across environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment workflows, monitor systems, and respond to incidents.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

California Base Pay Range

$155,000 — $198,000 USD
