Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Oversee daily EDI operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders, invoices, and other electronic documents.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (IT, sales, logistics, etc.) and external partners to manage EDI setup, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor EDI transactions to identify and resolve errors or discrepancies in data transmission.
  • Collaborate with vendors and trading partners to implement new EDI relationships and maintain existing ones.
  • Maintain EDI mapping and documentation, ensuring that changes and updates are properly recorded.
  • Work with IT teams to upgrade, maintain, and improve EDI systems and software.
  • Provide ongoing EDI support, including onboarding new trading partners and resolving technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and protocols for EDI transactions.
  • Assist in creating process documentation, training materials, and support resources for internal teams.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience working with EDI systems, preferably in the food distribution, manufacturing, or logistics industries.
  • Strong understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (FTP, AS2, VAN).
  • Experience with EDI mapping and translation software (e.g., IBM Sterling, Gentran, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot EDI issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and their integration with EDI platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated with industry best practices.
