Job Description
- Under minimal direction of their Manager, the Lead Software Compliance Analyst will support Software Asset Management (SAM) compliance activities related to identifying, building, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
- The Lead Software Compliance Analyst will recommend, develop and implement comprehensive analyses to support SAM audits related to business process requirements for ensuring compliance.
- This work will cover both the server and the client software environments.
- The Lead Software Compliance Analyst will be the technical resource for the SAM team on the maintenance and enhancement of the SAM system in Service Now.
- The Lead Software Compliance Analyst will support and mentor other Analysts with any audit, compliance and process improvement activities. Additionally, the Lead Software Compliance Analyst will assist with Infrastructure process and policy improvements and other general compliance activities.

Essential Functions :
Understanding of multiple license types and software suites that allows for reporting and metrics development.Collaborate with the SAM team on development and management of the Service Now SAM foundation tool. This would include creation and development with the team of software discovery models for normalization.Enhancements and ongoing maintenance of the Service Now SAM foundation tool will be required of this role. Partner and collaborate with business units as needed for updates and integrations to the SAM toolTrack purchase records within the SAM tool to ensure data is accurate for license compliance analysis.Collaboration with software suppliers and VARs on validation of software purchase history and entitlements.Facilitate the business’ needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed / handled / ordered in advance of their expiration.Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and support services.Partner with Strategic Sourcing to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.Introduce new ideas and processes which improve performance and productivity.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsQualifications : Education / Experience :
Bachelor’s degree required and 5-7 years of experience in Software Asset ManagementWe encourage candidates with either a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply.Knowledge / experience with programming desiredOrganizing and managing multiple priorities and / or projectsSAM Tool experience like ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow etc.Discovery tool experience SCCM, JAMF Tanium able to run reports to see installation Data.Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditionsBasic Excel skills like Pivot tables, Vlook ups, and able to analyze data and prepare software license positions.Must be able to work independently with minimal supervisionCompliance and process improvement experience. Detailed analytical report writing skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needsEscalation of results of analysis – influences management and decisions through analysis and recommendations Decision making to recommend best measurements and infrastructure audit improvements.
