This role supports patient care by coordinating the scheduling of procedures and diagnostic services for an assigned area. It focuses on accuracy communication and a smooth experience for patients and clinical teams.

Job Description :

The Patient Services Representative schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling systems and keeps the flow of information clear and organized.

The position works closely with medical and clinical staff to confirm facility and staff availability and to complete any required preauthorizations at the time of scheduling.

The role includes direct communication with patients and when appropriate their families. This involves sharing pre-procedure instructions confirming appointment details and answering basic scheduling questions.

The representative intakes and updates demographics insurance information and preauthorization details for all scheduled encounters ensuring that each record is complete and ready for the clinical teams who will provide care.
