HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in the Manufacturing industry in Fort Wayne, IN!

Salary : $25$37 / hour, based on experience

Shift : 10 : 00 PM6 : 30 AM, Monday through Friday

Location : Fort Wayne, IN

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using blueprints, manuals, and engineering specifications.
  • Maintain processing equipment, including pipe fitting, welding, and fabrication tasks.
  • Adjust and repair packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication of machinery components.
  • Collaborate with Operations and external contractors to minimize downtime and ensure plant reliability.
  • Install and repair electrical and mechanical equipment as needed.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and operational standards.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).

    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Experience with PLCs and ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
  • Must possess own hand tools; specialty tools will be provided.
  • Ability to pass post-offer drug tests, alcohol screenings, and physical exams.
