Must-haves :

BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; or equivalent education & experience

2+ years of experience managing and leading a technical team

1 year of experience working within a Test Lab

Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical and / or electro-mechanical engineering principles, with a clear understanding of testing methodologies and measurement techniques

Experience performing data collection and validation activities using tools such as strain gauges, vibration sensors, temperature monitors, and displacement measurement systems to support product testing and analysis

Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining high productivity and ensuring timely completion of deliverables across diverse engineering initiatives

Insight Global is seeking an Engineering Manager over their Test Lab to join our manufacturing client onsite in Omaha, NE. As the Engineering Manager of the Test Lab, this role oversees a team of test engineers and technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of product verification and validation activities. The manager is responsible for prioritizing daily tasks, allocating resources, and maintaining compliance with ISO standards and Certified Test Facility requirements. They lead data acquisition, analysis, and reporting efforts, while continuously improving testing methods and outputs through KPI monitoring. The role supports R&D initiatives, designs experiments, and contributes to root cause analysis and corrective actions. Collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams and leadership is key, including travel to support inspections (10%), commissioning, and coordination across facilities. The manager also handles hiring, training, performance reviews, and ensures alignment with company policies, quality standards, and core values.

Target salary range for his role is between $100k - $130k. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

The focus of the role is to prepare project and job packages that include material lists, requisitions, labor estimates, site drawings and construction drawings for installations of electrical and power distribution projects in a cost-effective manner.
