OVERVIEW Lead the development and execution of creative copywriting strategies, providing direction and overseeing research and insights that drive creative campaign success. Manage a team, including freelancers, to deliver consistent and high-quality creative outputs that resonate with diverse audiences and support Sheetz's strategic goals. RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) 1. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities. 2. Conceptualize and supervise the execution of comprehensive creative strategies that amplify the brand’s voice across all marketing campaigns, ensuring content not only inspires action but also maintains consistency across all communication channels, including development of advanced copy and content for advertising campaigns, marketing materials, recruiting campaigns, sponsorship support and creative briefs. 3. Lead research to gain deeper insights into audience preferences and market trends, translating findings into impactful creative directions and narrative development. 4. Collaborate with digital teams to craft and refine creative content strategies for social media (paid and organic) driving innovative creative concepts that bolster brand engagement and audience interaction on various platforms. 5. Participate in the content creation for internal events, from ideation to final delivery, ensuring that each aspect of event messaging resonates with the brand’s narrative and audience engagement goals. 6. Facilitate brainstorming sessions and strategic discussions with a broader team to foster innovative solutions and ensure cohesive branding across all media. 7. Take an active role in defining and implementing key performance indicators for creative content, ensuring alignment with the brand’s strategic objectives and measuring outcomes. 8. Provide leadership and mentorship to internal and external copywriters, ensuring seamless integration of external contributions with internal creative efforts. 9. Engage in the optimization of creative processes and workflows, promoting a more efficient and effective environment for content production and team collaboration. 10. Present refined ideas and creative drafts to clients and senior management, using advanced methods to secure buy-in and ensuring that all creative work is strategically aligned with project deliverables. 11. Maintain a vigilant role in upholding the brand, ensuring all content is truthful, accurate, and adheres to advertising laws and industry best practices, while also resonating with target audiences and loyal customers. QUALIFICATIONS Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or related field required. Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ copy writing experience and portfolio of work required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods required.
- Previous social media or content marketing experience required.
- Previous experience implementing principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services required.
