As a Lead Software Developer, you will lead critical software development projects that are integral to Xplore's satellite operations and data platform, Major Tom. This position demands not only advanced technical skills but also visionary leadership to drive the strategic direction of our software architecture and implementation.

Key responsibilities include :

• Architectural leadership : Architect and refine robust, scalable systems for real-time satellite data processing and tasking, ensuring systems are future-proof and aligned with the latest technological advancements.
• Hands-on technical development : Take full ownership of developing large-scale, resilient services for satellite tasking, automated data pipelines for image processing and customer order fulfillment, and a robust, searchable Spatio Temporal Asset Catalog (STAC) database. Design and implement scalable architectures, optimize system performance, and ensure seamless integration of our software stack to enhance satellite operations and data accessibility.
• Innovation and research : Stay ahead of the curve by researching and implementing cutting-edge technologies that can be integrated into the existing tech stack to keep Xplore at the technological forefront of the internet and space industry.
• Mentorship and team leadership : Cultivate a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the team by mentoring junior developers and engineers, providing guidance and career development opportunities.
