Tech Solution Sales Director

Join IQVIA in a role that drives sales and cultivates new business opportunities within the life sciences and healthcare industry. The position requires residency in the country where the job is located and commutes to Boston, MA or San Francisco, CA.

Job Profile Summary

Works directly with clients to provide value-added input on strategic issues, identify business development opportunities, and manage commitments for services delivery, managed service, or implementation-oriented client projects. The role focuses on hunting new clients, building long-term profitable partnerships, and expanding across practice areas.

Essential Functions

Primary owner of client engagements, ensuring satisfaction, delivery quality, and expansion opportunities.

Develops and implements strategies to secure new clients, penetrate untapped markets, and increase revenue.

Generates new business leads through market analysis, networking, and building strong relationships.

Meets or exceeds assigned revenue and sales targets by managing a robust pipeline.

Develops tailored solutions and pitches services to senior executives and decision makers.

Maintains a hunter mentality, actively pursuing opportunities to grow accounts.

Leads and manages proposal development for client‑centric solutions.

Negotiates contracts and closes high-value deals aligning client needs with organizational goals.

Collaborates with Marketing, Sales, and Delivery teams to create go-to-market strategies.

Applies consultative problem-solving to address complex client challenges.

Identifies and develops commercial offerings reflecting market trends and client priorities.

Enhances market presence through thought leadership, conferences, and professional networking.

Assumes responsibility for talent and people development within the team.

Required Education & Experience

10+ years of professional experience in sales, business development, or related roles.

Proven success in hunting for new business and closing large-scale deals.

Extensive experience managing a pipeline and achieving revenue targets.

Deep knowledge of sales methodologies, consultative selling, and relationship management.

Strong understanding of client needs and market dynamics in life sciences or healthcare.

Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.

Skills & Abilities

Hunting skills to identify and secure new client opportunities.

Consultative sales expertise with strong value proposition and presentation skills.

Negotiation and closing skills for high-value contracts.

Ability to develop acquisition strategies and penetrate new markets.

Broad knowledge of the life sciences industry.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.

Proficiency using CRM tools or other platforms to track sales activity.

Strategic thinking to develop innovative solutions.

High energy, enthusiasm, and results-driven approach.

Compensation

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $134,200.00 – $286,700.00. Incentive plans, bonuses, and other benefits may also be offered.
