As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector Infrastructure Platforms Team, you will be an experienced member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your role involves implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's strategic goals.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExtensive experience and expertise in SQL Server development, including proficiency in creating stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and performance tuning of stored procedures
Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages, particularly T-SQL and PowerShell
Experience in building applications using Python
Experience with integrated development environments such as IntelliJ and VSCode
Knowledge and experience with automation and version control tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, SaltStack, Bitbucket, and GitHub
Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines, including hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments.
Experience with multiple cloud technologies, with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI / CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with JavaScript and JSON and troubleshooting complex database problemsExposure to Micro service architecture, REST API design / developmentExposure on Database High Availability solutions like Log-Shipping, Database Mirroring, Replication, Clustering and AlwaysONExposure to using PerfMon / Profiler, solved low-level SQL Server bottlenecks like Dead Locks / Long running queries
