As a Tier 4 Technical Engineer, you will join a team of IT consultants assisting with help desk, server, and network level support tasks for a variety of small businesses.

Required Skills / Expectations :

• Strong written, interpersonal, and communication skills. You will be routinely interacting with professionals including attorneys, paralegals, and their support staff.
• Ability to multitask and efficiently handle multiple projects, help desk calls, and other requests.
• Attention to detail, ability to account for one’s time, and thoroughly document time spent on a project or help desk ticket, preferably experience in consulting and using a ticketing system.
• Reliable transportation. You will routinely travel to client offices and may from time to time need to travel to the Bay Area or Southern California.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing Windows-based computer networks, specifically Windows 11 and Windows Server 2016-2025, from the router and firewall to the switches, printers and copiers, workstations, and the software applications running on them.
• Solid understanding of networking, protocols and services. Exposure and experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, etc. from different manufacturers.
• Familiarity with setup, troubleshooting, and administration of cloud-based application and / or SaaS (Software as a Service), including a detailed understanding of Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Intune, Entra, and SharePoint.
• Experience with setup, troubleshooting, and administration of virtual environments using both Microsoft Hyper-V and VMWare environments.
• Familiarity with the setup, troubleshooting, and administration of server-level hardware and operating systems, from hardware configuration to installation of the operating system and various roles, including Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, Group Policy, Print Servers, file and share-level security, data and application migration between systems.
• Experience with security tools and services, including MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), content and DNS filtering, email filtering, phishing detection and prevention, EDR, IDTR, etc. – including familiarity with various vendors offering these services.
• PowerShell and scripting experience.
• Experience with the detection and removal of viruses and / or malware.
• Experience preparing and setting up computers, mobile phones, tablets, etc. for use on a Windows-based network.
• Experience with various remote access solutions, including VPN, Remote Desktop Services, Citrix, GoToMyPC (and comparable).
