Director of Financial Systems & Governance reports to the VP, Finance Operations and serves as a key member of the finance leadership team.
This person is responsible for leading a team that supports the technical system environment and process improvements for Finance. See key responsibilities in the section below.
Given the nature of the responsibilities, the role will have limited visibility to leaders outside of finance and limited interaction with senior leadership but will serve as the primary contact with internal technical resources and for external suppliers of financial software and services.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- ERP administration – manage the configuration, maintenance, and reliable operations for the financial software platforms; the individual will play a critical role in the design and implementation of the new ERP solution as part of the Finance Modernization initiative
- Vendor oversight – manage service level agreements and serve as the primary point of contact for external suppliers of financial software
- Data governance – optimize and maintain data structures and definitions, construct safeguards for data integrity, and manage data repositories for one source of the truth
- Process automation – help design and support process automation efforts to promote straight-through processing for optimal effectiveness and efficiency
- Corporate development (M&A) integration – support the integration of acquired entities to standardize financial operations and reporting and maximize synergies
- Business continuity planning – serve as the primary point of contact and design architect for finance BCP
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA) :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or information systemsMinimum 8 years of corporate accounting or systems administrator experienceDemonstrated ability to manage a team of technical resources for a minimum of 4 years, while promoting teamwork and engagementDemonstrated knowledge of GAAP accounting principlesStrong proficiency with financial management systems and data managementDemonstrated familiarity with process design and improvement techniques (e.g. Six Sigma)Strong behavioral capabilities will be essential, including :
